Safety 1st Child Harness Reviews
Flimsy plastic pieces can break easily, July 4, 2011 By V. Goins (Oregon) - See all my reviews This review is from: Safety 1st Child Harness (Baby Product) The plastic should not be trusted. Go to a craft store and buy metal replacements. I use this on my 4 year old autistic son who does not understand danger. It fits very well, though I'll probably just knit him one when he grows out of it. Very nice for stores. Just put on the harness, put the child in the basket of the cart, then thread the 'leash' through the back of the cart and hook it onto the back of the harness. This is just my suggestion for older children who cannot sit in the seat of the cart. It gives them enough leeway to get on their knees and look over the cart, but not to stand or take things off the shelves. Good for parents of autistic kiddos who have to shop alone!
Buy two or three, July 17, 2009 By Naynay (USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Safety 1st Child Harness (Baby Product) I started using this product whenever my child started walking and we were in public so he's very used to it. It's so sturdy that I can even catch him if he stumbles while walking. When the weather is too hot or I'm in a very isolated area with few people but plenty of cars, I use the removable hand tether which I always carry in my purse. It's like getting two products in one. I plan on buying another to always stay in the other car.
Not safe!, May 17, 2009 By This review is from: Safety 1st Child Harness (Baby Product) We decided to give this a try for our active 20 month old twins. While I liked the minimalistic design, the plastic "hardware" that holds it together is made out of very flimsy plastic. I would NOT trust this to keep my child from running into the street. Don't risk it, look elsewhere. Shame on Safety 1st, they should know better.
